Jul 30, 2010 - Gantz and Elfen Lied both use gore, and pure shock value to achieve their greatness. Gantz is gorier, has better characterization and a more interesting story line. Elfen Lied is equally dramatic if not more so, it has less gore although it has more blood. Elfen lied's drama is created by showing shocking cruelty, but gantz does a better job at building suspense, and a little more action. Both are superior anime. If you liked one, you will surely like the other.
