The only ones who are doing a great job at voice acting in this series are the actors of Ed, Winry, and Roy since they had more experience from the previous show... but honestly, I think the voice acting in this series is poor... Al just sounds like a whiny little girl. And then the script... everything just sounds funny. Maybe I'm just used to the original (Japanese).... :/

While they wont deviate from the manga anymore (108 chapers of AWESOME!), the first episodes of this series have changes in setpiece, and a lot more jokes are thrown around. Im personally saddened by this new take, as I liked FMA for its ability to be very mature, but so far, particularly the sungod episode, had drastic changes from the original, including the tone of the cornello confrontation and set piece changes.

You may think of it as a fanfiction that got made into anime.Brotherhood is the official stuff, with solid and plotholeless story, better built characters, darker and more mature atmosphere, and lots of deep, moving moments. Brotherhood is superior in every way.
