Sep 2, 2010 - I joined the Air Force in 1969. In 1973, while stationed at Plattsburgh AFB, NY, my wife and I are watching the Grammys, and someone named Donna Fargo has just won for "Happiest Girl in the Whole USA." I know her!" I tell my wife, but doesn't believe me. "She was my english teacher at Northview HS, Covina Calif!" I tell her what Mrs. Silver (her married name) had told us: She recorded under the name Donna Fargo. Donna, for her grandmother, Fargo, because she was told she'd "Go Far." Go figure.
